I am a self employed organic gardener based near Tiverton. I am passionate about gardening, from the thrill of germinating a seed, to the pleasure of nurturing a plant, the beauty of a well designed border, or the wonder of an urban oasis. I love being outdoors and working hard … after all, I am a farmer’s daughter.
I garden organically and using sustainable practices. I like a garden that is not too neat and regimented and I strongly believe in ‘right plant, right place’ – plants should neither have to be mollycoddled to perform well, nor constrained to fit their space.
I am really friendly and positive, very reliable and communicative, and take pride in doing a job well without cutting corners.
I hold an RHS Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Horticulture which I studied at the University of Bristol Botanic Gardens. I also trained at Highgrove Gardens on a year-long work placement (WRAGS). I am a member of the WFGA and The Gardeners Guild.
I have public liability insurance.
I generally work within about a half hour’s drive from Tiverton: Crediton, Witheridge, Bampton, Dulverton, Uffculme, Willand, Cullompton, Silverton as well as Tiverton itself.
